Laura Green M.Ed, LPC is a beverage professional and licensed mental health therapist from Chicago, IL. Having held many positions and roles in the Chicago food & beverage community from bartender to beverage director to brand ambassador, she has over 10 years of experience in restaurants, bars, and hotels. Since earning a Master of Education in Community and Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University, Laura has directed her research and clinical interests towards the mental health and wellness of food & beverage professionals.
In December 2016, her article Substance Abuse is a Community Issue was published by Tales of the Cocktail, and she is currently conducting research on career motivation within craft beverage. Nowadays, Laura is working with Diageo Reserve on the Art of Balance series that promotes balance within bar culture and continues to design the cocktail program for Stephanie Izards’s newest restaurant, Duck Duck Goat.
